BUFFALO HEAD ENERGY SERVICES ANNOUNCES ITS TECHNOLOGY IS COMPATIBLE WITH CARBO® SOFTWARE TO MONITOR REAL-TIME FRAC HITS DURING FRACTURING OPERATIONS
HOUSTON – [Date] – Buffalo Head Energy Services (BHES) announced its technology is compatible with CARBO’s FRACPRO® software to provide E&P operators and service companies with quick and seamless pressure information during fracturing and DFIT processes.
This compatibility brings tremendous value to E&P Operators in the real-time monitoring of their wells during fracture operations. They will now have the unique capability to access their real-time pressure measurements in the data van, or at the office, to monitor adjacent well frac hits. The measurements will be available in FRACPRO during operations and for review after the job.
By utilizing FRACPRO, the oil and gas industry’s most widely used hydraulic fracturing design and simulation software, with BHES’s wireless Internet of Things (IoT) technology platform, clients will now be able to access FRACPRO formatted information for analysis within the program.
“Buffalo Head implemented direct connectivity to FRACPRO software in native data format which means that clients will receive pressure files immediately and seamlessly through FRACPRO for direct interpretation,” said Marc Lawson, General Manager of Buffalo Head Energy Services. “Our integration efforts will minimize time delays, improve efficiencies and provide clients overall improvements with their monitoring and interpretation processes.”
Buffalo Head Energy Services has an exclusive data collection system that utilizes a Quartz-based, high density data logger, rather than a lower resolution “Quartz-like” device, and provides high resolution data sets for analysis interpretation via the FRACPRO software.
FRACPRO software can effectively model any type of pressure stimulation job, including horizontal well fracturing, multiple perforated intervals and limited entry wells to optimize contact area, fracture stage spacing, EUR and economic performance.
The new frac hit monitoring capability for FRACPRO users will be available in the FRACPRO 2019 version.
