ROAM IIoT Remote Production Monitoring System
(Remote Observation, Acquisition and Measurement)
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems are the data-highway, most commonly used to connect remote field operations to key personnel. While SCADA is widely used and accepted as the go-to data communication platform, it can be cost prohibitive for use on lower-producing assets.
Buffalo Head Energy Services has recently introduced their ROAM IIoT (Remote Observation, Acquisition & Measurement – Industrial Internet of Things) system. Through the major nation-wide 4G-LTE network , used by our gateway, operators can access measurement data from well site operations, from practically anywhere the internet is accessible. The ROAM IIoT system monitors just about any parameter, using the latest in wireless connectivity…eliminating costly cable and conduit installations, resulting in operating efficiencies typically associated with SCADA, at a fraction of the cost of traditional SCADA installations.
Typical monitored parameters include:
- Casing and tubing pressures
- Casing and tubing temperatures
- Fluid and gas flow rate
- Fluid and gas volume
- Tank levels
- Environmental monitors (H2S monitor, engine exhaust monitor)
- Lube oil condition (precise real-time lube oil condition monitoring)
- Permanent and semi-permanent down-hole gauges
The ROAM IIoT system also functions as a gateway to existing SCADA systems, providing real-time data from wireless sensors across the well pad.
Buffalo Head Energy Services also provides sensible annual service contracts, to deliver maximum system up-time, and ensure your data is accessible when you need it.
